BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of helping lead the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team to its first conference title in more than 20 years and first NCAA Tournament win in over 30 years, Bruno Cakurs (First Team) and Enzo Beatrix (Second Team) were each named to D2 CCA All-Region Teams on Tuesday.
Cakurs earns his first career All-Region honor after anchoring a standout UB back line throughout the 2025 season. The CACC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection started 21 games, helping UB hold opponents to just 0.90 goals per game in league play. Under his leadership, the Purple Knights allowed one or fewer goals in 14 matches and recorded four clean sheets.
Cakurs' impact extended beyond this season as well, finishing his four-year career with 58 starts and 71 total appearances. His consistent presence and defensive reliability made him one of the most influential players in the program.
Beatrix earns his second consecutive All-Region honor after another standout season for the Purple Knights. A repeat CACC First Team All-Conference selection, he was one of just two UB players to start all 22 games. The Frenchman tied for the team lead in points with 17 and paced Bridgeport with seven assists.
Beatrix elevated his performance in the postseason, being named CACC Tournament MVP after recording a goal and two assists during UB's title run. Beatrix then added another assist in the team's 2-1 NCAA Tournament victory over Post, further solidifying his impact on UB's successful season.
