Men's Soccer Ties Post 2-2 to Remain Atop the CACC Standings
Purple Knights answer 2-0 first-half deficit with goals in the 41st and 55th minutes.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In a battle between the top two teams currently in the CACC standings, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team played to a 2-2 home draw against Post University (4-0-7, 3-0-4) on Tuesday afternoon. The Purple Knights remain unbeaten in the conference this season with a mark of 3-0-4 (3-4-6 overall).
Bridgeport displayed terrific grittiness versus the Eagles as they surged back from a 2-0 first half deficit. The Purple Knights scored twice against a Post team that entered the day with just six goals against in 10 games this season.
UB's tallies came in the 41st minute to cut the Post lead in half before tying the game up in the 55th minute. Bridgeport is the first team to notch multiple goals against the Eagles this season.
The Purple Knights were especially stout in the second half, putting together a 5-0 edge in corners and a 10-1 advantage in shots.
Junior Calvin Paulick notched UB's first goal of the game while graduate student Loik Poder notched his second tally of the season to even the contest at 2-2.
Paulick's first goal at UB was assisted by sophomore Cem Celik while Poder cleaned up his own rebound on a bouncing corner kick into the box.
