Men's Soccer Voted Fourth in 2025 CACC Preseason Coaches Poll
Purple Knights finished 6-4-1 in the conference last season.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – As the countdown to the 2025 campaign hits just 17 days, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team was placed fourth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's preseason coaches poll released on Monday.
The Purple Knights are coming off a 7-8-3 season in 2024 which included a 6-4-1 mark in the CACC. UB finished sixth in the conference standings before falling to third-seeded Felician in the CACC Quarterfinals.
Bridgeport's 2025 roster will be a seasoned one with a total of 18 returners and 22 upperclassmen. Additionally, six Purple Knights are back that started the playoff matchup at Felician last fall.
Coach Doneit's squad will start its new year on Sept. 4 with a home game against 12th-ranked Franklin Pierce. UB also started last season against the Ravens on the road.
