Purple Knights Begin 2023 Men's Soccer Slate At Home Against New Haven On August 31st
UB Will Serve As Host For 2023 CACC Soccer Championship Semifinals And Final On November 10 & 12
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Pete Doneit, will open its 17-match 2023 schedule with a home contest against local rival, the University of New Haven, on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m.
Following the UNH tilt, the Purple Knights will travel for another local derby against the Southern Connecticut State University Owls in New Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3
In 2022, the Bridgeport men's soccer team went 10-5-2 overall and 8-2-2 in conference action, advancing to the conference championship quarterfinals.
Bridgeport men's soccer will open its 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule by hosting Thomas Jefferson University at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16.
The 2023 CACC champion for men's soccer will be the winner of the eight-team CACC Championship Tournament that will begin with a set of quarterfinals hosted by the top four seeds on Monday, November 6. The tournament semifinals and finals will be hosted by the Purple Knights at Knights field in Bridgeport on Friday and Sunday November 10 and 12.
