Cullen of Men's Lacrosse Named Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse
The CACC All-Conference first-teamer led the nation in face-off percentage this season (74.1%).
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following one of the best individual seasons in program history, senior Connor Cullen of the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team has earned USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-America honors for 2026.
Cullen, a three-time CACC All-Conference selection and first-team honoree this past spring, played a pivotal role in the most successful season in UB men's lacrosse history in 2026. The face-off specialist was dominant at the X, leading all of NCAA Division II with a 74.1 percent win rate after going 191-of-254 during the regular season.
He also controlled possession for the Purple Knights, leading the CACC with 114 total ground balls while ranking third in the conference in ground balls per game (7.13).
Cullen racked up a season-best 15 ground balls in a game on two occasions and won at least 80 percent of his face-off matchups in five different contests.
Offensively, Cullen finished with three goals and four assists. He notched the first tally in UB's win over 19th-ranked Bentley on March 18, which signified the Purple Knights' first-ever triumph over a nationally ranked foe.
Cullen earned a spot on the USILA National Team of the Week following his stellar performance against the nationally ranked Falcons in which he went 16-of-18 on face-offs with five ground balls and a goal.
Cullen also cemented his place in the conference record books, setting a new CACC career mark with 648 face-off wins while finishing second in league history with 357 career ground balls.
