BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing their penultimate home game of the season, the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team was defeated by Dominican on Tuesday night by a score of 88-75 inside Hubbell Gym.
In a tight game that featured an even score at halftime, the Chargers used a decisive 19-7 run to open up a 72-59 advantage with 6:31 remaining, creating separation in what had been a back-and-forth affair.
Dominican was especially efficient after the break, shooting 61 percent from the field in the second half while committing just three turnovers.
UB placed three players in double figures, led by a season-high 14 points from Eddie Fisher off the bench.
Jaden Palmer also poured in a season-best with 12 points, while Jason Edokpayi added 13 points for his 22nd double-figure performance of the season.
Edokpayi tied with Jaheem Tyson for the team lead with six rebounds, as Tyson chipped in seven points and a team-best four assists in an all-around effort.
John Dash Jr. contributed eight points and paced the Purple Knights defensively with three steals, helping keep UB within striking distance for much of the night.
