Men's Basketball Receives NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Seven Purple Knights Named to Honors Court
Purple Knights boast most honorees in the CACC | Team finished with 3.0 GPA during the 2024-25 school year.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Seven student-athletes from the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for the 2024-25 school year. Additionally, Coach Krunch's squad was recognized with an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for their collective GPA of 3.0 following the spring semester.
The Purple Knights' seven honorees, who all finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, represent the most by any team in the CACC and the second most across the entire east region.

About the NABC's Academic Awards
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
