Cisse of Men's Basketball Tabbed CACC Player of the Week for Third Time
Averaged 25.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals for the Purple Knights last week.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following two more standout performances for the Purple Knights, junior Aliou Cisse of the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team has been selected as the CACC's Player of the Week. He has now earned the recognition on three occasions this season.
Cisse was terrific during a 1-1 stretch for UB last week. The Yonkers, N.Y. native averaged 25.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting nearly 60-percent from the field (20-of-34). He was especially terrific in a mid-week win over Caldwell when he poured in 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting.
Cisse is currently ranked second in the CACC in scoring (20.4 ppg), seventh in field-goal percentage (54.3%) and sixth in steals (1.8 spg). He has eclipsed 20 points in a game on 11 occasions this season.
