Men's Basketball's Cisse Named CACC Player of the Week for Second Time
Scored 29 points during UB's win at Chestnut Hill over the weekend.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following another superb performance over the weekend, Aliou Cisse of the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team was named the CACC's Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Cisse was terrific for the Purple Knights during their 11-point win at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday. The junior racked up 29 points on an incredibly efficient 12-of-15 from the field. He is now leading the CACC in scoring this season at 21.8 points per game.
Cisse, who now has six 20-point games this season, is also slotted sixth in the CACC in field-goal percentage. He is currently shooting 55.4 percent from the floor while attempting the most shots in the league. He also boasts averages of 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals (5th in the CACC) per contest.
Cisse and the rest of the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team return to action tomorrow night at Queens College (5 p.m.).
