Men’s Hoops Labeled Number Six Team In CACC's North Division Preseason League Coaches' Poll
Men’s basketball is listed as the number six team in the North Division ahead of their second season in the CACC.
New Haven, Conn. – The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team have been slotted at number six in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's North Division in this year's preseason CACC coaches' poll, released on Tuesday.
The 2023-24 season will be Bridgeport's second season in the CACC. The Purple Knights finished their inaugural season within the new conference 10-17 overall and 6-12 in conference play.
The top four teams in each of the CACC's division earn a spot in the conference championship tournament. The conference championship semifinals and finals this year will be hosted by Caldwell University in Caldwell, N.J. on March 9-10, 2024.
UB opens their season at home under the direction of second-year coach Kranthi "Krunch" Senadhi on November 11th as they host the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds. Their first conference test will be on November 29th as they travel to Orangeburg, N.Y. to dance with the Dominican University Mustangs.
