Men's Hoops Slotted Number Seven In CACC's North Division In Preseason League Coaches' Poll
UB Set To Open The 2022-23 Season At Home Versus SNHU On November 12
New Haven, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team under the direction of first-year head coach Kranthi "Krunch" Senadhi have been slotted at number seven in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's North Division in the league's preseason poll of CACC coaches released on Wednesday.
Bridgeport is playing its inaugural season in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in 2022-23. Last season, the Purple Knights posted an 11-16 overall record and an 8-10 East Coast Conference marl in the team's ECC swan song.
The top four teams in each of the CACC's division earn a spot in the conference championship tournament. This year's conference championship semifinals and finals will be hosted by Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. on March 4-5, 2023.
The UB men's basketball team will open its 2022-23 season at home on Saturday, November 12 when the Purple Knights host Southern New Hampshire University as part of the Bridgeport Men's Basketball Crossover Classic that will also include fellow CACC member Post University and Southern Connecticut State. Tip-off for Bridgeport season opener is set for 3:00 p.m.
The Purple Knights will open this season's conference slate at Post University on November 30.
