Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team dropped a high-scoring affair to the visiting Southern Connecticut State University Owls, 104-96, on Sunday evening in the final game of the 2015 UB Men's Basketball Classic. Bridgeport is now 0-2 overall, and SCSU ups it overall mark to 2-0.
Senior Muhammed Ahmed (Bronx. N.Y.) and Jesse Jones (Irvington, N.J.) led the Purple Knights in scoring, as they each netted 22 points. Classmate Ernest Rouse (Freeport, N.Y.) added 16 points for UB, and junior Stefano Osuji (Voorhees, N.J.) chipped in 13 points.
Michael Mallory led SCSU with 20 points.
The UB men's basketball team is back in action at home on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. when they host Bentley University.
