Purple Knights Receive Votes In NABC NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Preseason National Poll
Purple Knights Set To Play Exhibition Game At Sacred Heart On Saturday Afternoon
Kansas City, Mo.- The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team, under the direction of head coach Mike Ruane, who is entering his 16th year on the UB bench, continue to receive preseason recognition entering the 2015-16 campaign. Along with a number 24 national preseason ranking by the Division II Bulletin, the Purple Knights have garnered votes in the 2015-15 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Preseason Division II National Poll.
Last season, UB posted a 24-7 overall record and won its third consecutive East Coast Conference title plus made the team's third straight NCAA Championship Tournament appearance.
The Bridgeport men's basketball team will be in action his Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when they travel up Park Avenue for an exhibition game at Sacred Heart University. The Purple Knights will open their regular season at home on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. when they host Southern New Hampshire University as part of the UB ECC-Northeast 10 Challenge Classic.
