Baseball's Bulger Named CACC Pitcher of the Week
Tossed one-hit shutout with four strikeouts against Lincoln on Saturday.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a complete-game gem on Saturday, sophomore Alex Bulger of the University of Bridgeport's baseball team has been selected as the CACC's Pitcher of the Week.
Bulger delivered a dominant performance during UB's 3-0 win at Lincoln on Saturday, firing a one-hit shutout against the Lions. The right-hander was in complete control throughout, walking just one batter while striking out four and facing only one hitter over the minimum. With the outing, Bulger lowered his ERA to a team-best 3.21 across 33.2 innings pitched this season.
Bulger and the rest of UB's baseball squad will return to action on Wednesday with a home doubleheader against Post (noon).
