WEST HAVEN, Conn. – In one of their final non-conference games of the season, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team (13-22, 9-15 CACC) dropped a 12-4 contest at Division I New Haven on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior shortstop Liam O'Neal led the way for the Purple Knights with a 2-for-3 effort that included his ninth career home run. He also singled, walked, stole a base and scored on a wild pitch in the seventh inning.
Anthony Armenia notched UB's other RBI in the game with a single that brought home Raymond Morales in the seventh. Morales reached on a one-out walk.
Patrick Krempasky and Kyle Coppola rounded out UB's hit producers, each notching singles in the contest.
UP NEXT
The Purple Knights will play a three-game conference series against Lincoln (Pa.) this weekend, beginning with a road doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
