BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Starting up a three-game conference series against Jefferson, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team (8-9, 4-4 CACC) dropped a pair of matchups to the Rams on Saturday. UB suffered defeats of 12-2 and 16-3.
Conor Lesczczynski and Raymond Morales headlined the day for the Purple Knights, each launching the first home run of their collegiate careers—one in each game of the doubleheader.
Lesczczynski turned in a strong performance in the opener, going 2-for-3 while blasting a two-run homer in the second inning. Noah Williams came around to score on the play after leading off the frame with UB's third hit of the game.
In the finale, Morales delivered a two-run shot of his own in the third inning, knotting the score at 3-3 as Liam O'Neill crossed the plate after reaching on an error.
