Bridgeport, Conn. – Continuing one of their busiest stretches of the season, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped a pair of contests to Wilmington on Wednesday.
The Purple Knights were leading the majority of the first contest but were unable to secure the win.
Jeremy Rodrigues piloted UB's offense with two more hits and two more RBIs. He knocked in a pair of runs with a triple in the first inning.
Rodrigues is currently leading the Purple Knights in almost every offensive category, including average (.377), slugging (.818) and RBIs (24).
Vin Mallon hit an RBI triple of his own while Jake Woods knocked in a run with a single.
