New Castle, Del.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team closed out action on its 2019 Spring Break trip on Sunday afternoon in Delaware with a 10-3 loss to the host Wilmington University Wildcats. UB is now 2-13 overall, and Wilmington moves to 10-5 on the season.
Freshmen Ryan Donnelly (Fairfield, Conn.) and Matt Rodriguez (New Milford, Conn.) knocked in runs for UB on Sunday.
Up next, the Purple Knights are scheduled to open their home schedule on their new diamond in Seaside Park on Wednesday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. non-conference game versus Southern Connecticut State University.
