Melbourne, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team (0-6) opened its Spring Break trip to Florida on Friday afternoon by getting swept in a twinbill by the host Florida Tech Panthers (11-7), 10-0 and 9-0.
In game one, freshman Joey Grillo (Sound Beach, N.Y.) went two-for-three at the plate.
In the nightcap, sophomore Conall Roberts (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) had UB's only hit.
The two teams will conclude their three-game series with a 1:00 p.m. single game on Saturday.
