Cevallos and Cisse Tabbed as UB's Purple Knights of the Week (Dec. 16-22)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of excellent efforts on the hardwood, Ciera Cevallos and Aliou Cisse of the University of Bridgeport's basketball teams have been named UB's Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Dec. 22, 2024.
Cevallos did a little bit of everything for the Purple Knights last week. The New Jersey native posted averages of 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in contests against Pace and Queens. Prior to those two outings, Cevallos poured in a season-high 15 points versus SNHU on Dec. 14.
Cisse, meanwhile, registered a pair of double-doubles during UB's 1-1 stretch last week. The junior put together averages of 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest. He was especially impressive at Saint Anselm when he tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals. Cisse ranks second in the CACC in scoring this season at 21.2 points per outing.
