UB Puts 171 on CACC's Academic Honor Roll for Fall 2023
Approximately 74 percent of total student-athlete population finished with 3.0 or above.
FULL UB CACC ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - In recognition of another terrific semester in the classroom, 171 University of Bridgeport student-athletes were named to the CACC's Academic Honor Roll following fall 2023. Additionally, the Purple Knights tied for the highest amount of 4.0 GPAs in the conference with 38.
The 171 Purple Knights signifies approximately 74 percent of UB's total student-athlete population (CACC sponsored). The UB baseball team posted the most student-athletes on the list with 31.
In addition to the totality of student-athletes honored, the CACC Academic Honor Roll is separated into three distinctions based on individual grade-point average.
UB had 38 student-athletes finish with FAR Award of Distinction (4.0 GPA), 81 earn Presidents' Level (3.5-3.99 GPA) and 52 obtain Commissioner's Level (3.0-3.49 GPA).
Overall, 2,162 student-athletes from the conference were recognized on the CACC's Academic Honor Roll for fall 2023.
"The CACC and its member schools work extremely hard in making sure that student-athletes excel in the classroom," CACC Commissioner Dan Mara said. "The total number of individuals on the Academic Honor Roll illustrates the tremendous effort put forth by administrators throughout our conference in mentoring student-athletes and teaching them that a college education will take them even further then they thought possible. Our student-athletes are learning valuable life lessons by achieving tremendous success in the classroom."
