Women's Cross Country Takes Fourth Place In Season Opener

Fairfield, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's cross country team opened its 2010 season on Saturday morning at the Father O'Neil Invitational hosted by Fairfield University, and the Purple Knights finished in fourth place at the event.

UB's top finisher was graduate student Sarah Santos who took 22nd with a time of 22:41 over the 5K course.

Next Saturday, the Purple Knights will be in action at the C.W. Post Invitational on Long Island.
