Pair Of Second Half Goals Sink UB Women's Soccer In ECC Action At Daemen

Amherst, N.Y.-The visiting University of Bridgeport women's soccer team outshot shot the host Daemen College Wildcats, 21-13, on the day and took nine corners to the hosts three, but UB could not find the back of the net, as Daemen scored a pair of second half goals to post a 2-0 East Coast Conference victory on Saturday in Western New York. With the loss, the Purple Knights are now 6-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the ECC. The Wildcats are now 7-5-1 overall and 3-3-0 in conference action.

UB junior goalkeeper Jennifer Wendelius (Lidingo, Sweden) made four saves on the day, and DC keeper Katelin White had nine stops to record the shutout.

Up next, the Bridgeport women's soccer team will look to get back in the win column when they return to Knights Field on Wednesday evening when they host NYIT in ECC play. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
