Bridgeport Women's Soccer Ranked Number 17 In The Nation By The NSCAA
Purple Knights Also Ranked Number Two In The East Region
Bridgeport, Conn.-After receiving votes in the preseason National Soccer Coach Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Rankings, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, has jumped into the NSCAA National Top-25 at number 17 after opening the 2011 season this past weekend with wins over American International and UMass Lowell. The UB women are also ranked number two in the East region by the NSCAA trailing only national number one, the College of St. Rose.
This week, Bridgeport returns to action on Thursday night at home when the Purple Knights face Georgian Court University. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
