UB Gymnastics Moves Up To Number One Spot In National USA Gymnastics Collegiate Team Rankings
Bridgeport, Conn.-Coming off their school record team score of 194.625 in Friday night's home dual meet win over Towson University, the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team has moved into the number one spot in the nation for the first time during the 2012 season in the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Team Rankings.
UB has a team average of 192.230 so far this year. The Purple Knights are followed by Texas Woman's University at number two with a 192.215 team average and the University of Pennsylvania at number three with a 191.019 team average.
Bridgeport will host the 2012 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championship from April 12 through April 14.
This week, the Purple Knights travel to Yale University for a quad meet on Saturday, February 11. Acton gets underway in New Haven at 1:00 p.m.
