Softball Complete 2010 Season With Split At Mercy

Dobbs Ferry, NY-The University of Bridgeport softball team wrapped up its 2010 season with a doubleheader split at Mercy College on Saturday afternoon. UB took game one, 6-2, and Mercy won game two, 14-10.UB finishes 2010 with a 4-42 overall record and a 4-24 East Coast Conference mark. Mercy completes its season at 19-27 overall and 8-20 in conference play.

In game one, sophomore Katie McMitchell (Port Coquitlan, B.C. Canada) drove in all six Bridgeport runs and won the game with a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning. 

In game two, Bridgeport blasted three home runs, as Taylor McBeth (FR, Langley, BC, Canada), Alitha Krolikowski (FR, Bristol CT) and junior Tori Tenzyk (Hawthorne, NY) all went deep.
