Men's Cross Country Opens Season With 5th Place Finish At Fairfield Invitational
Fairfield, CT-The UB Cross Country teams opened the 2009 season at
the Fairfield University Invitational on Saturday
morning. The Bridgeport men finished
fifth in the event, and the women took seventh place.
The top male finisher for the Purple Knights was
sophomore Brian Bor (Endoret, Kenya) who took 23rd
place, as he covered the 8K course in a time of 28:41.
For the women, graduate student Sandra
Dziurdzia (Saarlouis, Germany) was the top UB finished
covering the 5K course in a time of 23:53.
The UB men are back in action next Saturday at the NYIT
Invitational on Long Island; while the women's team takes
next week and are back in action in two week at the Father Leeber
Invitational which will be hosted by Fairfield
University.
