Pitor Safronczyk Wins NCAA 100-Yard Breaststroke Title

The UB women also joined Safronczyk in grabbing All-America
honors, as sophomore Sandra Schmitz (Breuhl,
Germany) took seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of
57.01, and senior Alena Gorlanova (Omsk, Russia)
was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of
1:04.47.
Bridgeport's women's 800-yard free relay team took Honorable
Mention All-America honors by finishing 12th in that even with a
time of 7:41.68.
The Bridgeport women head into the final day of the 2010 NCAA
Division II Women's Swimming and Diving Championship in 14th place
with 84 points.
